　　ISTA 3B

　　ISTA 3B is suitable for packages transported by LTL(small load transport). ISTA 3B is divided into four types: standard, up to 200lb(91kg) in mass including strip and flat pack; Standard, over 200lb(91kg) in strip and flat pack; Cylindrical; Pack with tray or slipper. The test items will vary according to the type of package.

　　Standard, with a mass not exceeding 200lb(91kg), the test items include environmental pretreatment, controlled temperature and humidity treatment, 22° Angle tilting, free drop, random vibration zone top load, concentrated impact (non-rigid container), rotary drop, bridge impact, and concentrated edge impact.

　　Standard, with a mass over 200lb(91kg), the test items include environmental pretreatment, controlled temperature and humidity treatment, 22° Angle tilting, rotating edge and Angle drop, inclined impact, random vibration zone top load, concentrated impact (non-rigid container), rotary drop, bridge impact, and concentrated edge impact.

　　The cylinder packaging test items include environmental pretreatment, controlled temperature and humidity treatment, free drop, random vibration zone top load, rotary drop, bridge impact.

　　Test items for packaging with pallet or slipper include environmental pretreatment, controlled temperature and humidity treatment, 22° Angle tilting, rotating edge and Angle drop, ramp impact, random vibration zone top load, concentrated impact (non-rigid container), forklift truck test.

　　ISTA 3B simulates packages from all angles according to different packaging types and LTL transport characteristics.
