　　ISTA procedure 2 series

　　The ISTA 2 series is a partial simulation performance test that includes at least one ISTA 3 series test in addition to the ISTA 1 series, such as environmental conditioning or random vibration. The ISTA 2 series simulates only partial shipping hazards and does not necessarily meet carrier's packaging requirements. The ISTA 2 series includes ISTA 2A, ISTA 2B, ISTA 2C.

　　ISTA 2A: for single packs up to 150lb(68kg) in mass, not for single packs with sliders or pallets up to 100lb(45kg) in mass. ISTA 2A test procedures include environmental balance, atmospheric regulation, compression, vibration (fixed-displacement vibration or random vibration), and impact (free fall or ramp impact).

　　ISTA 2B: applicable to single packages with a mass of more than 150lb(68kg), ISTA 2B test procedures include environmental balance, atmospheric regulation, compression resistance, vibration (fixed displacement vibration or random vibration), and impact (free drop or bevelling impact, rotary edge drop).

　　ISTA 2C: applicable to partial simulation test of single-pack furniture, ISTA 2C test procedure includes environmental balance, atmospheric regulation, dynamic load random vibration, impact (free fall or ramp impact, rotary edge drop).
